Christmas Cheer?

I’m finding it a little difficult to get into the holiday spirit despite the fact that our house is decorated and our calendar is filled with celebrations and parties. Perhaps it’s because the weather this week at least has been so warm, in the 60’s and 70’s. This year, just finding myself just trying to do my best to enjoy Christmas music and let me the words challenge my soul as well as to enjoy the beauty of this season in this uniquely decorated place.

We haven’t spent time learning any of the official history of the colonial decorations but even though they’ve only been up for a two weeks, we’ve already been to see them three times. A few of my favorites are below. And the day that we took these pictures was the coldest we’ve had which is why we’re kind of bundled up.

“Rejoice, rejoice! Emmanuel HAS come to Thee!”.
