After graduating from college and getting married, Alex and I moved to Alexandria, Virginia – just outside Washington, D.C. We admit that we had no business moving out here, in a practical sense, but God had so much in store for us and it’s been wonderful to see his plan unfold.
We’ve joined a fabulous church and if you’re ever in town, we’d love to take you. Words can’t describe the deep love we have for the leadership and the members of Capitol Hill Baptist Church or the number of ways that we have been blessed by it as a young married couple.
Being so far from our beloved Chicago has drawn us closer together, but so has God as he continues to reveal the circumstances of our lives. Alex has started a graduate program in his third love, (God…me…) American History at George Mason University. And I work at a non-profit named for George Mason’s “greatest accomplishment” – the Bill of Rights Institute – as a Programs and Events Manager. My knowledge of and interest in American History has greatly increased over the last year and half, much to Alex’s delight.
But, I’m still me and interested in arts and crafts, interior design, cooking, and event planning, So that’s mostly what you’ll see here. Along with updates about what we’re up to and perhaps the occasional post from Alex too.
